Xmas Crafting Travel Wallets

I've been quite busy creating all my xmas presents and am pretty happy about my little projects.

This years theme is "Travel Wallets, Bangles, Belts and Purses".

"Sydney" is my first ever sewn travel wallet to my first ever made up pattern.

I had a bit of trouble using the Bias tape for the first time, but got there in the end and have created a few more since that went a lot faster...

It's hip to be square...

Time's flying when you're having fun

I was so proud, that I finally started my blog.

And then I went overseas for 2 months and totally forgot about posting and crafting...

But I took lots of photos with my two companions 'HOLGA' and 'DIANA' and am still in the process of getting them organised.

My new awesome Bat Sleeve Top

Well, just 2 more days to go and I'll fly back home to Germany for some time.

Maybe, I should save some money for my trip, but I couldn't resist getting myself another gorgeous Bat Sleeve Top from Identitaet. I absolutely love the colour and let's face it, it's awesome for summer in Europe! Always been good in justifying another good purchase ;)

My first sewing project

I wanted to try some sewing for some time, but was always a bit worried to break my friend's sewing machine ;)

After a good introduction from my friend Betti and the purchase of Pip's great collection of projects in her Meet me at Mikes book, I was ready to go.

And here it is my first finished sewing project, that I am quite happy with.

Thanks to Jennie for the great pattern. I love it.

Guess there'll be heaps more to follow. I am hooked!

Winter Swim at Icebergs

I love winter in Sydney on a day like this! And so do all the keen swimmers at Icebergs that go for a dive each Sunday during winter, no matter how warm or cold the water is. 15º today – I prefer taking photos....
